a) For admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy
- The written exam is divided into three subjects i.e. English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics.
- Each section will be of 100 marks and the exam duration for each section will be 2 hours.
- There will be negative marking of one-third (0.33) marks for each wrong answer.
B) For Admission into Officers Training Academy
- The written test is divided into two subjects i.e. English and General Knowledge.
- Each section will be of 100 marks and the exam duration for each section will be 2 hours.

CDS 2 Exam Guidelines
Candidates are advised to read the exam guidelines after downloading the CDS 2 Admit Card 2024. Also, you must locate the exam centre well in advance to avoid last minute rush on the exam day.
- Reach the exam center at least 45 minutes before the reporting time to complete all the verification formalities on time. If you fail to reach on time, you will not be allowed to enter the exam center.
- It is mandatory to carry photo ID proof along with the admit card to the examination center. If they do not submit the admit card, they will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
