India Post GDS Merit List 2024 is compiled on the basis of converting marks/grades/points obtained in 10th class secondary school examination of recognized board into marks in percentage with accuracy of 4 decimals. For students whose 10th class secondary school examination mark sheet contains both marks or marks and grades/points mentioned in each subject, their total marks will be calculated by considering the ‘obtained marks’.
If a candidate applies with grades/points instead of marks, his/her application will be rejected. For candidates with grades only, subject wise marks for each subject will be calculated by applying a multiplication factor of 9.5 by the following method:
