This recruitment was published for the vacant posts of Gramin Dak Sevak in Jammu and Kashmir region. Selected candidates will be appointed on GDS, ABMP and BPM vacancies in the state. Indian Postal Department has invited applications for recruitment to the posts of Branch Post Master, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Gramin Dak Sevak in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The last date to apply for these posts is 05 August 2024. A large number of candidates have applied for these posts.
JK GDS 1st Merit List 2024
The recruitment authority is not going to have any written or interview stage. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained in 10th class. In case of equal marks in 10th mark sheet, candidates with upper age are selected. The recruitment authority will publish the JK GDS merit list. Candidates will be called for the document verification round based on the JK GDS merit list 2024.

Steps to Check JK Postal Circle GDS Result 2024
Important details like applicant’s name, registration number, father’s name and home address will be mentioned in the PDF file. Here are some steps that you can follow to easily download Jammu Kashmir GDS Result.
- First of all visit the official website of the Recruitment Authority.
- Then click on “Jammu Kashmir Postal Circle” on the home page.
- Find the result link for JK GDS 2024.
- View and download the result in PDF format.
- Take a printout if necessary.
GDS Selection Process
- Candidates will be selected for appointment based on the system generated merit list.
- The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in class 10th of approved board.
- In case of a tie among candidates, merit will be determined on the basis of date of birth (higher age).
- After the release of the result, shortlisted applicants will be called for document verification through SMS on their registered mobile number/email.
If a candidate submits wrong documents/information, his/her candidature will be rejected immediately. After successful completion of document verification, provisional offer of appointment will be issued through the system itself (through registered SMS/email).
What next after the declaration of Post Office GDS Result 2024?
After the result is declared, the shortlisted candidates will be called to attend the document verification through SMS on their registered mobile number/email. They have to bring a list of some original documents and two sets of self-attested photocopies for submission.
Also, they will be allowed a total of 15 days to submit the documents for verification. If the applicants fail to report to the verification authority within the stipulated period, their candidature will be cancelled immediately. The list of documents is as follows:
