Punjab and Haryana High Court has released the notification for Peon Recruitment on the official website. They have invited online applications from eligible candidates to fill 300 vacancies for the Peon post. The link to submit online applications is now activated at https://highcourtchd.gov.in/.

Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions of the Assistant and submit the application form within the deadline to be included in the selection process. They will have to go through three selection stages, written exam, physical efficiency test (PET), document verification and medical examination.

As per the notification, all eligible candidates should apply online for the post on or before September 20, 2024. Candidates whose applications have been accepted by the court will only get the opportunity to appear in the written examination. If they are found ineligible at any stage, their applications will be cancelled.

Comment: The number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the actual number of vacancies while preparing the merit list. The final number of candidates recommended for appointment will be determined by the Hon’ble High Court.
Peon Eligibility Criteria
Educational qualification:
- Minimum QualificationsCandidates must have passed the Middle Standard (which generally corresponds to 8th grade in the education system).
- maximum capacityCandidates should not possess educational qualification higher than 10+2 (which corresponds to 12th class) from a recognised Board of School Education or a recognised school.
Age Limit:
Candidates for all categories should not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years of age as on 20/09/2024.

Comment: There is no application fee for dependents of ex-servicemen who are disabled or died during active duty. Appropriate documents are required to be submitted during application submission and verification.
Punjab & Haryana High Court Peon Selection Process 2024
1. Written Examination,
- Total Marks: 100 Marks.
- Structure: The written examination will consist of 50 multiple choice questions (MCQs), each carrying 2 marks.
- Subjects Covered: The test includes questions on General Knowledge, General Awareness, Current Affairs and Numerical Ability.
- Language: The question paper will be available in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
- Duration: 90 minutes.
- Marking Criteria:
- The general category candidates must obtain a minimum of 50% marks.
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/BC) must score minimum 45% marks to qualify for the next stage.
2. Physical Endurance Test,
- Eligibility: Candidates securing a rank within 10 times the number of advertised vacancies (except PWD category) in the written examination will be called for Physical Efficiency Test.
- Nature: This examination is only qualifying in nature and its marks will not be added for final selection.

- Visit the official recruitment portal of Punjab & Haryana High Court phcpen.formflix.org,
- Click on the “Apply Online” button on the application portal after carefully reading the notification, advertisement and caution notice. Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria before proceeding.
- On the registration page, fill in the required information like name, category, date of birth, gender, mobile number and email id. Double-check all the information before submitting as no changes can be made later. On submission, a unique registration number will be generated, which you will receive via SMS or email.
- After registration, log in using your registration number and date of birth. You will be redirected to the payment gateway to pay the application fee, as per the notification.
