Selection Process
The selection process for the Union Bank of India Apprentice Program involves several stages to ensure that the best candidates are selected. Here is a simple description of how the selection process works:
1. Online Test (Objective Type)
The first stage is an online exam, which is a multiple choice test. It consists of four different sections:
S.N. | Name of the Test | Number of questions | Mark |
---|---|---|---|
1 | General/Financial Awareness | 25 | 25 |
2 | general English | 25 | 25 |
3 | Quantitative & Reasoning Ability | 25 | 25 |
4 | Computer knowledge | 25 | 25 |
Total | 100 | 100 |
2. Knowledge and Test of Local Language:
After the online test, if you have applied for a seat in a particular state, you must be proficient in the local language of that state. This means you must be able to read, write, speak and understand that language.
You may be required to show your 10th or 12th class mark sheet as proof of having studied the local language. If you cannot show this, you will have to take a test to demonstrate your knowledge of the local language during your personal contact and document verification.
3. Waiting List
After the tests, the bank will prepare a list of successful candidates. If you appear on this list, it means you have been selected, but you will have to wait to see if there is a place available for you. If no one from the first merit list accepts the offer or reports for duty, candidates from the waiting list will be given a chance.
4. Medical examination
If you are selected, you will have to pass a medical exam. This means you will have to show a medical certificate from a doctor who has at least an MBBS degree.
